Karting NSW is operating under a new Constitution

Licence Renewals
Please be aware the Club is no longer permitted to do licence renewals on behalf of karters. Every driver is now responsible for renewing their own licence online on Karting Australia.

Membership Renewals
Club Memberships MUST be renewed BEFORE attempting to process your Licence Renewal. Without a current Club Membership, the system will not permit you to finalise your Licence. Club Memberships are renewed via the Club Secretary for the time being.
Coming soon you will be able to renew your Club Membership, including payment, via our Club website for you convenience.

05/09/11 Transponders
Transponders are only available for purchase directly from Karting NSW (formally AKA). They are no longer available directly from our Club.

Inaugural Alan Hann Memorial race meeting
Announcement of the inaugural Alan Hann Memorial race meeting to be run on Sunday 21st August 2011. Class sponsorship, donations, and offers of assistance have been flooding in from family and friends. Everybody is welcome to come along on the day and support this great event.

Passing of a Founding Member of CCSKC
It is with great sadness that we share the news of the passing of Allan Hann today. Allan was one of the founding members of our Club, our first President, and a huge on-going supporter, even long after he ceased active participation in racing.

Allan was also the founder and driving force behind the King of the Hill and King of the Dirt race meetings.

Allan was generous to a fault with his time, services and financially with ongoing sponsorship over many years. If there was ever anything that needed doing, all you had to do was ask and it was never too difficult for him to help.

Allan leaves behind his wife Karen and family and will be sadly missed by all his friends from CCSKC and speedway in general.

27/06/11 The Speedway STATE (NSW) Kart Titles have been run and won !!
Details from the weekend will be listed here shortly.
20/01/11 A fund-raising Night at the Dogs has also been arranged for Tuesday 15th March. There are still races available on the night with sponsorship at $300 per race. Help plug your business in programs, on Sky Channel, this website and the local community. Or just come along for the night for $5 entry. Raffles and other events will be held, with everything we raise going towards our track fund for new track surface.
14/01/11 A fund-raising BBQ will be held at Bunnings West Gosford on Sun 13th Feb. Volunteers are needed to help man the BBQ. Even if only for an hour or so, as it is a very busy store. We will have a kart on display and promotional material available to help advertise our Club and Sport.
09/12/10 Entry fees for race day have been set at $60 per driver, with $50 any additional entries. All drivers will now race the same no. of laps at all Club rounds. Also, there is no more $5 gate fee in light of this change.
19/10/10 Draft Supp Regs have been developed to cater for the introduction of Tag 125 racing to speedway. Initially, Formula 100 will be combined with any Tag 125's, with the results and rules to be reviewed after any meetings, to keep the racing even and fair. We have deliberately kept the rules simple, so that all kart/engine specs are as per the existing rule book. We will have more info on this at our next race meeting. Meantime, please contact Victor or Stuart Bond for any further info.

1. Australian Speedway Kart Titles 2010

A new improved (smaller and younger) water truck has been gratefully donated and fitted out by 2 major sponsors and a host of other businesses. 01/07/10 Transponders now compulsory for all drivers at all AKA race meetings
Please contact our Club Secretary if you don't have one yet, and allow enough time to organise one, before your next race meeting.
29/06/10 New Club Phone Numbers
Our new Presidents Mobile contact number is 0424 195 770.
The new Secretaries Mobile contact number is 0424 197 360.
These numbers will be used by all future people in these positions.

Compulsory Transponders
All AKA competition licence holders will be required to have an AMB TranX 160 transponder to take part in racing at all AKA circuits. The AKA has been able to secure greatly discounted pricing for transponders purchased prior to 7th August 2010. Normally priced at $350-$400 each, the AKA has been able to get this price down to $280 when Clubs purchase 10 or more units at a time, or $290 for less than 10 units. When you think about it, this is roughly the price of a set of tyres which no-one has a problem with purchasing as needed.

The benefits of using transponders are many, including removing human error in placings and points (especially for photo finishes), finally being able to access timing information, access to race details from MyLaps once the race day system is updated to the AKA.

Testing has been very successfully carried out at our track, both under race conditions and during a practice run, and the results were very impressive.

As of the first race meeting after 1st July, you will be required to have a transponder to compete at CCSKC. This includes the Australian Titles being held in September.

We will have a very limited number of spare transponders that belong to CCSKC. These may be available in some circumstances but conditions and a rental fee will apply (fee is yet to be finalised).

Orders are now being taken by our Club Secretary. The first order has already been delivered to very eager members. We have set up a lay-by system as well for those who would prefer to pay their transponder off over time.

If you have any questions, please contact our Secretary or President. Contact details

26/02/10 StarFM - Mandy gets Dirty!!!
Mandy Coolen from StarFM came along to our recent Come 'n' Try Day to have a go, and she sure gave it a great blast. She has laid down the challenge to Rod and The Flack to prove that they have the courage to also come and play in the dirt. The lady racers of our Club seriously doubt that they have what it takes!!!
See the photos of Mandy having a go on the StarFM website.
Thanks to Stuart Bond for inviting Mandy to have a go.

Change to Committee
As of our Committee Meeting held on the 9th February 2010, Trish Maastricht resigned at Club Secretary effective immediately. After 5 years in this role Trish has decided that it is time to hand over the reigns. She will continue in the roles of AKA Delegate, Showground Trust Delegate, Webmaster as well as a Race Day Official, so we won't be losing all of her valuable input just yet.

In her time as Club Secretary, Trish has overseen many changes and improvements, including development of the Club Website, EFTPOS facilities, updated Kart Torque Newsletter, cash registers and computer system, to name just a few. She has also seen our Membership numbers nearly double as well. So I hope everybody can thank her personally when you next see her for her dedication to our Club and sport.

We are pleased to welcome Jayne Peters as our new Club Secretary. Jayne will also be filling the roles of Race Secretary and Roster Manager. We wish her every success and ask for you to give her your support.
Victor Maastricht
Club President

Track Flooding
Thought people might like to see the results of the massive storm that came through Gosford today. I think it might explain why this weekend has been cancelled unless you have floaties and an outboard motor fixed to your kart! Gosford had over 10cm of rain dumped on it in less than an hour.

For new people, this section of the track is commonly referred to as "Duck Lake"!!!

Tumbi Wholesale Promotion Day Thanks
We would really like to send a huge thank you to Brad King for giving us the opportunity to hold a promotional display and fund-raising BBQ at his business last weekend. We will be repeating this event at the end of the year as well.

Huge thanks also go to Stuart and Jim Bond and Vic and Kris Maastricht for doing all the work on the day. Hats off to you guys!!!

Online Licence Renewals
Just a reminder that all current licence holders will have been sent a log in and password to the AKA website that will enable them to apply for their licence renewals directly to the AKA.

If your licence has already expired, or will expire within 5 days, renewals will still need to be done through our Club Secretary. This can be done at any time other than race day morning as time doesn't permit for us to them then, however they can be done at any other time during the day, so long as they haven't already expired.

This new system will be of great benefit to all.
